Both Sailor Mars' civilian given name and her mother's given name are spelled in katakana, which is usually reserved for foreign words or loanwords. My understanding of Japanese is limited (extremely so), but does this mean their names should be romanized as Raye and Lisa? Or would it be appropriate to romanize their names as Raye and Lisa?

hi, I'm back from the hole, I've been hiding for some months  . But I have presents! 
I got my internet back, I got struck by inspiration thanks to dhoney, VO1 and soon-to-be others (wouldn't jinx or spoil the surprise here  ) . Soo... I bring art .

I've got a thesis that might blow just about everything out of the water: Beryl and ChibiUsa could be incarnates of the same soul, living out the lessons each is sent to learn!
Here's my Proof:
Major Similarities Betwwn Beryl and ChibiUsa
1) Relationship to Usagi / Sailor Moon
Beryl - hated the Moon Kingdom because Endymion loved their princess, not her
C.U. - not a fan of Usagi for taking up Endymion's time
2) Relationship to Endymion / Tuxedo Mask
Beryl - Unrequited Love (Is this even necessary to note?); father does nothing to assure she is valuable without his romantic love
C.U. - Loves her Daddy Very Very Much; father does nothing to assure she is valuable without his romantic love
3) Relationship to guardians / ministers
Beryl - demands allegiance; even brainwashes the strongest to give love
C.U. - demands a lot of attention (she is mentally six, people!)

I wrote an essay on how power would work in the Sailor Moon Universe. I was wondering what you thought of it. It's long though. And I included a few inventions of my own...
Power in the Sailor Moon universe
Power in the Sailor Moon universe is a complex and multifaceted thing. At the basis of all power in the universe lies a kind of mystical energy in the galaxy. Compare it with the Force of Star Wars. Planets, moon, astroids, stars, all those kind of things generate that mystical energy. And a lot of it.
Magic
In the Silver Millenium most people could draw from that mystical energy. They need training to do this and could never draw that much energy because their energy lines or pathways in their bodies (something like the chinese chi idea) couldn't handle it and the direct mystical energy doesn't adjust the energy pathways in the body. This came out in the form of magic. On each of the planet was a school of general magic and on Saturn were specialized schools for magic, where one could advance and earn the title of Mage.
The schools were:
College of Air Magic: The area's of study covers air, wind, clouds, and the sky in general.
College of Water Magic: The area's of study covers all forms of water including rain, rivers, oceans, ice, and snow.
College of Earth Magic: The area's of study cover rocks, stones, metals, etc.
College of Fire Magic: The area's of study cover heat, flame and such.
College of Nature Magic: The area's of study cover powers over plants and animals.
College of Temporal Magic: The area's of study covers powers over the flow of time.
College of Illusion Magic: This college studies the creation of stimuli and the manipulation of matter designed to fool the senses of an observer so that he will accept the existence of what is in fact nonexistent.
College of Celestial Magic: They practice magic arts having to do with shadow, night, and stars.
College of Necromancy: The area's of study covers spells of harm, disease, and death.
College of Healing Magic: This college studies the arts of healing and cleansing.
College of Diviniation: This college concerns itself with the gathering of knowledge through magical means.
College of Mental Magic: This college specializes in magic that directly influences the mind.
College of Enchancment: They are the makers of magical items. They have learned to channel the energies of various magic and to imbue this into weapons, armor and other items.
College of Summoning: They study the art of summoning beings from different dimensions. This can be good or evil creatures.
College of Energy Magic: They manipulate and direct pure energy, including electricity, magnetism, and gravity
College of Battle Magic: This college pulls from various colleges, all with the purpose of doing battle.
College of Transfiguration: This college practices the art of changing the substance and properties of objects.
College of Transportation: This college studies all forms of magical transportation.
In the current day, people on earth can still draw from that force, but all knowledge of how that is done properly is lost. Some manage to do it instinctively, though.
Psionics
Both in the Silver Millinium and in the current day some people are born with a source of power within themselves. In the Silver Millenium they were called psionics and in the current day they were often called mutants. Rei's psychic powers are of a psionic nature. This power could erupt in a variaty of special gifts, varying from telepathy to probability manipulation. In the Silver Millenium most planets had an school to train psionics and on Pallas stood the Psionic Academy where research was done and where the best psionics were trained.
There are some differences between magic and psionics:
Magic
Uses outside power source
Generally requires spoken words
Can be taught
Requires long study
Effect is generally permanent, unless countered or reversed
Need time and meditation to learn to feel the power
Psionics
Power lies in the person itself
Requires no words
Lies in genetics, you have it or not
Requires training, but goes fairly quickly
Often only lasts as long as the focus of the psionic
Often erupts in puberty during emotional trying times
Senshi
Senshi form a special kind of magic users. A senshi taps directly into the pure power of their planet, moon or astroid. A Sailor Crystal, a special kind of Star Seed, functions so that they can draw large quantities of that energy from the planets safely. The lines that guide energy trough the body are different from normal people so they can handle the massive quantities of energy. This power also conseals in a special protective suit called the sailor fuku.
Shitennou
The Shitennou of the planet Earth form a unique kind of magic users. The Shitennou aren't Senshi, since they don't draw from a planet or other object alone. Yet they aren't normal folks, since they draw partly from the Earth. The prince of Earth is a full Senshi and his energy pathways are fully adjusted to that fact. The energy adjustment is also the case with the Shitennou, although not as much as a full Senshi. The adjusted pathways alllow them to channel more of the general mystical energy. Trough their partial Senshi connection to the Earth, their ability to channel greater amounts of general mystical energy and rigouroes training in the magical arts allow them to come very close to the senshi powerwise. But it takes them a lot more work then it would take a senshi, for whom it almost natural.
The Shitennou are bonded with a special piece of mineral. Many generations before the Endymion and the Shitennou we know from Sailor Moon, there was just the Golden Crystal. It's wielder also had four guardians and those guardians wore ritual amulets, made from jadeite and the other stones. They didn't have any special power back then. His guardians, already called the Shitennou, were trained warriors and general mages. But then a big war came. It was ended by some great magical feat from the Golden Crystal Holder and the Shitennou. This magical feat was so great that the four ritual amulets were bounded, almost became a part of the Golden Crystal. Another thing what happened was that those amulets bounded with the Star Seeds of their owners. Bam, you have the Shitennou with partial Senshi connection trought the Golden Crystal. Their ritual amulets serves the same function as a Sailor Crystal, they control the Earth energy they can draw.
In the Silver Millenium, when the next monarch of Earth is born who would inherit the Golden Crystal four people born into the royal families of Earth will become the next Shitennou. This is destiny and shown by visions. Mostly, the next Shitennou are shown when they are eight to twelf years old. They are removed from their parents and raised in the Golden Kingdom. When the Golden Crystal is passed on, the Shitennou also pass on their stones to the next generation. The next generation then also takes the ritual names of Jadeite, Neprhite, Zoisite and Kunzite. Their names before this are hardly used anymore.
Crystal Senshi
There is one last catagory of special magic users in the Sailor Moon Universe. And those are the Crystal Senshi. During the Sailor Wars various senshi from different solar systems would fight each other. A group of the most powerful mages and senshi took offence to this and set about developing a special kind of crystal. This crystal functioned as a very strong battery and conductor for the general mystical energy. When a human was bound to it, the crystal could safely pour energy into the human to make him as strong as a Senshi. It would also conseals a a special protective uniform
The only thing this crystal couldn't do was changing the energy pathways. So the disadvantage was that only people with already changed energy pathways could wield the Crystals. This were senshi who had lost their powers through the destruction of their planet or people who had been born from an active senshi or crystal senshi. Their energy pathways would have adapted enough from their time in the womb.

So, my favorite movie is the Super S movie. I always associate it with the holidays, even though I think they were just generally baking cookies and sweets and things.

What misconceptions do you find annoying in the Sailor Moon fandom?
1. Adonis put a curse on Minako so that she'd never find love in the Sailor V manga. No, he made a prediction. That is not the same as putting a curse on someone.
2. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are the guardians of the galaxy. Solar System.
3. Minako was forced to give up love because of her duty in the manga. Seiya said that her heart was already dedicated to someone else (Usagi). That implies that it was her own decision, born out of her own feelings and not obligation.
4. The anime came first. The anime was translated and released in the United States first, but the manga was created and released in Japan first.
5. Kunzite consciously betrayed Endymion in the past in the manga. The devastated look on his face as Endymion died would indicate otherwise.
6. The Black Moon Clan were expelled from Earth for refusing to be cleansed by the Ginzuishou. It's true that King Endymion said that they refused cleansing, but he also clearly said that they were responsible for a lot of deaths. Isn't that a better reason to expel someone?

So as I was looking at pictures of My Chemical Romance, I was wondering, if MCR were to be cast as our favorite gentlemen, who would play who? And what other bands with five members are out there that could be cast? For MCR IMO:
