NEED some advice about rewriting [message #16897]

Hey All! So here's the story:

I created a story a few years ago while I was still in high school. Over the years, I pretty much lost interest and sight of my original storyline and characters and became an unfortunate hiatus-author.

So: fast-forward to present-day, where I have made the decision to rewrite Meus Amor et Mea Culpa.

I'm posted up on ff.net, and they have a policy on having the same stories posted at the same time. I'd really like to keep the original links up and just replace the content with the revised versions, just to let readers who have MAMC on a Story Alert follow me.

But I'm wondering if a super-fresh start, new links and all, is the way to go. But I don't know if I should be leaving the original version up too?

Any advice anyone? Please and Thank you.

Perhaps you could set up some alternate site for the old fic (like LJ) and just replace the chapters as you go on FF.net with an Author's Note to the old stuff?
